Karpacz
A unique place with an alpine character
A truly picturesque spot, surprising with its fauna and flora from a glacial past. Cliff sides, soaring 200 meters high, plunge into a lake covering 2.9 hectares. Shelter after a hike is provided by Samotnia, considered the most beautifully located hostel in the Sudeten mountains. The first mentions of this place date back to 1670, making it one of the oldest facilities of its kind in Poland. It is a place worth choosing as a destination from Karpacz, or as a stop on the way to the Strzecha Akademicka, or even to Śnieżka. An excellent choice for a hike would be the trail through Wang Church, Polana and the Hunting Lodge. It is an exceptionally picturesque route.
