The Mountain Spirit is a legendary ruler of the Karkonosze Mountains, a mysterious wanderer. It appears in Polish legends as  Karkonosz or Rzepiór, in Czech as Mr. Jan and in German as Rübenzahl. The Mountain Spirit can be found everywhere, often on mountain trails where it gives a lesson to those who do not respect nature and disregard the power of the mountains.
